Mucho - Type Specimen
Lovely piece of simple but effective typography from Spanish studio, Mucho. Very elegant overlaid typefaces which look great in the selected colourscheme.

No Days Off
There's something about using two colours plus stock... it just seems to 'work'. Lovely simple layout with monotone images and overlaid typography.

Oscar Ruiz
Ingenious idea for a calendar by Spanish designer, Oscar Ruiz. It beautifully incorporates the notion of time which is illustrated through the steady absorbing of ink by the embossed numbers. I also like how the colour of the ink for each month is linked to our perception of the weather at that time of year and I'd like to take things like this into consideration for when producing my posterised calendar for image module.
"Spanish designer Oscar Diaz has designed a calendar that uses the capillary action of ink spreading across paper to display the date. Each month, a bottle of coloured ink spreads across a sheet of paper embossed with numbers, colouring them in as it goes. The ink colors are based on a spectrum, which relate to a “color temperature scale”, each month having a color related to our perception of the weather on that month. The colors range from dark blue in December to three shades of green in spring or orange and red in the summer."
