Toko

Found some great exhibition based graphic design from Toko that I thought would be really relevant to my work on promoting a colour exhibition. I particularly like the black and gold theme which incorporates some absorbing geometric patterns that work brilliantly when applied across a range of resolutions. They really tie the whole concept together and create a luxurious and contemporary feel.

RAW COLOR

Unique is an often over-used superlative when it comes to design, but I feel is justified when describing the work of RAW COLOR
Based in the Netherlands, they have developed a fantastic visual language that all started with an investigation into raw colour pigments found in fruit and vegetables. This approach has then been expanded into paper stocks and finishes, materials and photography. I think the exhibition centred on paper, colour and shape and the 'RAW colour cards' are two projects that are ingenious in their simplicity. What has been learnt from these investigations has then been applied in a more conventional format in terms of the fantastic diary/planner and dynamic editorial work.
